Experience how liquid gold is transformed into gorgeous pieces as you are guided around by founder and master jeweller Glenn Curtis. Walk through the creation process from hand drawings to final hand polish. Return home with a limited release gift only available through these tours.
Access is via Bairnsdale airport which has a 1400m runway where you will be collected and chauffeur driven in a beautifully restored classic car to the Curtis studio 15 minutes away.
These intimate group tours include a gourmet lunch as well as the opportunity to explore this amazing region.
Choose from two unique tour options - both taking no longer than a round of golf. Each option includes the exclusive Curtis Australia studio tour, and then you have the choice of either:
A) Travelling leisurely along the river to picturesque Paynesville at the heart of the Gippsland Lakes. Enjoy lunch at the Sardine Cafe where a delicious meal is skilfully prepared by a former Vue du Monde chef Mark Briggs. After lunch, cross to Raymond Island and walk amongst the gum trees and spot koalas and other wildlife in their natural habitat.
B) travelling to nearby Lindenow through the Mitchell River valley for lunch at local eaterie 'The Long Paddock'. This delightful restaurant offers a menu featuring seasonal local produce complimented by award winning regional wines. After lunch, enjoy the beautiful countryside and visit the lush fertile farmland for which East Gippsland is widely known. Or we can design a visit to suit your specific needs, group and itinerary.
