A creation for collectors who value rarity, inventive design, and uncompromising individuality. It stands as a modern expression of exclusivity within contemporary openworked watchmaking.

A solid 9ct brushed‑gold dial defines this particular Mechanika 288, its warm metallic surface punctuated by blue sapphire markers at 3, 6, and 9 o’clock. A 9ct yellow‑gold crown set with a sapphire cabochon continues the theme, while a rich tan leather strap adds tactile depth and visual balance.

THE MOVEMENT
At its core, the openworked tourbillon movement is suspended within a precisely curved stainless‑steel case engineered to contour naturally to the wrist. A curved sapphire crystal and oval exhibition caseback provide clear sightlines to the regulating mechanism as it pulses at 28,800 vibrations per hour.

The Mechanika 288 is equipped with a 26‑jewel, manual‑wind twin‑barrel calibre delivering a 72‑hour power reserve. Every component is shaped, finished, and refined entirely by hand—crafted in Australia by artisanal watchmakers in our studio.

Inspiration

"I set out to create a skeleton watch that challenged the standard designs available on the market by marrying contemporary lines with classic style.  My love of vintage tools and antique machinary that has been passed down through the family  played a hand in the initial stages of my design process. I was inspired by the multiple visual planes of depth created through the movement of the old cogs, gears and wheels.

When in movement, light passes through these internal structures that work in perfect harmony, revealing different details from every angle as the machine hums along, exhibiting such complexities that it is quite a wonder to behold.

Machines remind us that beauty often lies in rhythm, movement and the interplay of parts."
