D E S I G N

Powered by a high-frequency movement beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour, this tourbillon skeleton masterpiece is a testament to time itself, crafted over years of design, prototyping, and relentless refinement. Every component is designed, finished, and assembled in our Australian atelier in limited numbers. The Mechanika 288 is designed to expose the internal architecture while retaining structural integrity and reliability despite the visual openness - a testament to its precise engineering.

Inspiration

"I set out to create a skeleton watch that challenged the standard designs available on the market by marrying contemporary lines with classic style.  My love of vintage tools and antique machinary that has been passed down through the family  played a hand in the initial stages of my design process. I was inspired by the multiple visual planes of depth created through the movement of the old cogs, gears and wheels.

When in movement, light passes through these internal structures that work in perfect harmony, revealing different details from every angle as the machine hums along, exhibiting such complexities that it is quite a wonder to behold.

Machines remind us that beauty often lies in rhythm, movement and the interplay of parts."
